The Delivery of Hearts

You
so far away
yet staring deep into my eyes-
a place where everything resides
You read rainbows in me
and ignite fire in yourself
so I hold you tight
knowing that fire too,
is a source of light
Coming closer I respire
which blows away your flame-attire
and I tan myself more
but helplessly retire
afraid that I may catch fire.

You
like a mosquito,
still sit and stare
everywhere
except in my eyes
which were once bare
sacrificing nights in thoughts of you
and later dripping oceans,
waiting for some cue.
Now that I’m asleep
And you, you’re outside the net
yet so caged
Helpless at your hunger,
I’m locked up in freedom
And our
hearts got sealed for two different reasons.
